The starting point of this demanding panoramic tour, comprising 20.5 miles in length and 3445 ft in altitude, is the village Tavernola Bergamasca on the western bank of Lake Iseo, at 627 ft above sea level.
Leaving the SS469 we turn into the Via Valle, where the winding ascent (more than 329 ft in altitude) through the village to the Strada per Parzanica begins immediately.
Firstly, we ride a scenic and undulating road, alongside Monte Seresano and afterwards many bends, which are much steeper up to the mountain village of Parzanica, at 2470 ft above sea level. Just after the place name sign, we turn right and continue to follow the breath-taking panoramic road towards Vigolo, which, to begin with, is steep.
After riding several miles along the slope of Monte Mandolino, we reach the old mountain city of Vigolo (2021 ft), which is well worth seeing.
On a narrow, ascending road we ride into the Valle delle Tombe and to the turning area at the end of the valley - 2559 ft above sea level.
Now we ride back again and turn right after approximately 1 mile and, despite several short ascents, enjoy the following descent on the opposite side of the valley to our starting point, Tavernola.
