This 63 mile long and with 7782 ft in altitude very demanding tour is the interesting continuation of the Rosenheim-cycling marathon part 1 and can definitely compete with fastidious Alp marathons.
This additional tour begins in Frasdorf and leads via Aschau im Chimgau passing castle Hohenaschau (12th century) to Sachrang and Niederndorf in Tyrol.
The tour continues through this beautiful landscape via the river Inn to Oberaudorf in Upper Bavaria. On the outskirts of the village we follow the in parts very steep and narrow road with ascents of more than 16% up to Dörfl.
Via Kiefersfelden the route then runs alongside the river Inn to Kufstein in Tyrol and from there on up to the holiday resort Thiersee, situated on the beautiful lake of the same name.
Two short steep sections until Hinterthiersee and the following ascent up to Landl are the last challenges on the almost 12 miles to Bayrischzell, the climatic health-resort in the upper Bavarian Alps.
The further route now leads us on a stretch of the Deutsche Alpenstraße via the Sudelfeldpass (3684 ft) to Brannenburg in the Inn valley.
Finally, only a 10 mile long stretch is left via Nußdorf am Inn and Grainbach am Samerberg, before we reach Fraßdorf, the starting point of this beautiful and diverse tour.
