Start this diverse tour at the eastern periphery of the Yosemite National Park and enjoy the view of the bizarre bank of the Mono Lake and the white salt pillars, which are situated in the middle of the blue water.
On the first third of this tour you ride on gently winding roads, which repeatedly allow views of the oldest lake of the USA.
The higher the route leads into the mountains the more we leave the Mono Lake and climb the first mountain chains, which break through the grassland with rough rocks.
After half of the journey, via a constant change between ascents and descents we reach the pass summit. Following a steeper descent we now cross a plain which is criss-crossed by many little hills and thus provides an amusing up and down.
After riding round the last rock of this plateau, the road which has a constant descent, leads us directly alongside the remains of an old caravan into the old western city Benton, which is still famous for its hot springs.
