Inning, situated on the northern bank of Lake Ammer, is the starting point of this moderate tour through a wonderful and colourful landscape of the alpine upland.
On a stretch of almost 48 miles, passing 4 lakes, only 2851 feet in altitude have to be overcome.
The road leads from the edge of the village in southern direction to Breitbrunn am Ammersee and from there, on a quiet side road, further via Schlagenhofen to the southern bank of Lake Wörth.
Via Hechendorf am Pilsensee we reach Seefeld with its castle of the same name. Here, a short, but with an incline of up to 18 %, demanding ascent has to be overcome.
Drößling, Oberpfaffenhofen, Weßling at Lake Weßling and Etterschlag are the next villages we pass through on our way to Wörthsee, situated at the lake of the same name, which is rightly regarded as one of the warmest and cleanest Bavarian swimming lakes.
Along the eastern shore of the Lake Wörth the tour then again leads us back to Hechendorf am Pilsensee and further to Herrsching at Lake Ammer.
The next stretch runs with slight inclines alongside the eastern bank of Lake Ammer via Vorderfischen to Dießen, which is situated on the southern bank of Lake Ammer. However, just after reaching the village the relatively flat stretch of road ends. For approximately 3 miles, inclines of more than 10 % have to be overcome.
Entraching, Achselschwang, Hechenschwang and Neugreifenberg are the next villages on the last 17 miles, until we arrive back at Inning am Ammersee, the starting point of this beautiful tour.
