Old Priest Road

is a small and very old trade route at the west side of the Yosemite National Park. It has been moulded into new track using modern machines, in order to make it less frightening and to prevent engines from overheating.

Today, the main traffic flows via the new highway. But the Old Priest Road, which is in good condition is still a great experience in regard to the scenery and heights for car drivers and cyclists alike.

This route, which has been filmed as a loop, offers the opportunity to ride endlessly in a circle. Alternatively you can choose the extreme climb via the old route and then relax your muscles on the highway or you can opt for the less steep, but considerably longer climb via the highway, which is also a nice ride, in order to enjoy the terrific way down to the valley.

And those who can´t get enough of it can ride the route endlessly and in alternation till total exhaustion kicks in. A small attractive route which will always be good fun due to its routing.
